What makes a holiday park great?

Rosey and Ryan go above and beyond to keep their guests happy and well looked after during their stay at Bowen Beachfront Holiday Park. You will see Ryan throughout the day around the park, welcoming guests and working hard to keep everything in ship shape condition. Rosey is busy keeping the office running and is the star of the show when she cooks up a storm for all guests who roll up to the FREE bacon and egg rolls breakfast once a week!

There are other events at the park throughout the week for guests to enjoy in the company of fellow travelers.

In the evenings, this holiday park has the perfect setting right beside the beach, to sit back, relax and watch the sun go down. We definetly weren’t the only ones enjoying the stunning evening sunset on our the first night of our stay!

If you want to stretch the legs you can take an easy walk up to the end of the beach to Sunset Point…. Probably around 3km by beach or by car it is a 4.9km drive. A great place for bird spotting! Be sure to go when the tide is low as you will be able to walk much further.

If you have pushbikes you may like to ride to Horseshoe Bay Beach.

Such a stunning area and it’s a really easy 2.2km bike ride along the waterfront from Bowen Beachfront Holiday Park. A great spot for swimming and snorkelling 🤿 in the stinger ‘off season’. Stinger season is from late October to May… Above water we found some pretty nice coral in the shallow rock pools and some skittish brightly coloured crabs.

If you take a drive into town you can see the murals that are painted on the town water tanks sitting atop a hill in the middle of town. Although the murals are obstructed with perimeter fencing they are still great to visit with rewarding views over the entire town and surrounds in all directions.

There are also murals on many of the buildings to discover that tell the history of the area. Searching for the murals is a fun way to see the shops in town. Below are some of the murals to discover.

We really loved meeting managers Rosey and Ryan and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the NRMA Bowen Beachfront Holiday Park!
