We love that our hiking pants and caps are water resistant. We love exploring waterfalls, rivers, lakes and ocean rock pools. Not only are they water resistant, as you can see by the water beading off them in our photos below, if they do actually happen to get ‘drenched’ with water they dry out super quick.

This jacket is actually sold as a mens jacket, but, I love it just as much as Russell does.
It’s a nice length which we like as it keeps our kidney area warm and has enough pockets for all the bits and pieces we carry when out walking. It’s a great jacket to carry in the backpack for windy, cold, wet weather snaps or just to have handy for seasonal changes.

When out bushwalking in Australia never assume you are completely alone because there could be something lurking in the rock crevices and grassland!
Australia has about 170 species of land snakes, with some of these being more toxic than any other snakes in the world.
Although snake bites are not overly common in Australia it is really important, particularly in the more remote areas of the Australian outback to take care when out camping and bushwalking.
Whilst most snakes would rather slither away from humans than fight them, it is possible to accidentally step on or come in close contact with one in long grass, rock crevices, paddocks, bushland and hiking trails.
